Switching Google’s

I have found a lot of people have switched over to Google+  and I have also heard and read  some have  wished they hadn’t   as there are still a lot of bugs to be worked out and there is a lot of messing about with it to get it to work  for them , especially on blogs  .  Like any website search engine  make sure you know all the ins and outs of them before you take them on . Info  in this link below I have found about Google+ and how it works and how confusing it can be  .

How To Stop Google+ From Taking Over All Of Your Google Apps

Granted not all of us are website  computer savy and if you don’t read what they are all about it can make things very difficult . Myself and Papa who he is a techy , still are with the original Google for our search engine and Firefox for our browser  and have been with these for years and have had no problems . These reasons that I have put here in this post and that explains   it all in this website link  is well … we just do not need all the extras . I will say for some that  Google+ is good as long as you can take the time to understand it and  make it work for you  .

When it comes to your blogs and you are with Google+ unless your bloggers have Google+ they can not comment on them and that can cause loss of readers who do not want to switch to a Google+ account . I have also read that if you switch to Google+ you might not be able to switch back if you aren’t happy with it .

Now I know eventually Original Google will be phased out by Google+ I just hope they get all the bugs out and make it easier for everyone to work with and I myself will be doing a lot of research on this search engine for when that day comes  .

Just my beef on all the hoopla of switching  from Google Original to Google +  but there again if it works for you all the power to you and good luck !

P.S Haven’t searched about Google Chrome but have heard and read that others say they wish they hadn’t switched to it either as this search engine also has a lot of bugs to be worked out !

i use google chrome as it plays well with blogger (since they're the same family). i have a g+ acct but don't like the g+ profile or the g+ comment form at all so i've not switched my blog to them.

Google Chrome is a great browser, I have had it for years and really like it.

I never switched to Google Plus and I am so glad I didn't. If someone leaves me a comment and they have Google Plus I can only get to all of their comments and their Google Plus Page not to their blog.

Hope you are staying warm:)

Elaine, I'm still on the fence over switching my Blogger profile to G+, been thinking about it for a few weeks...again. I do know that I have a month to switch back if I dislike it.

We use Chrome, have been for years, had Firefox, for a while but it wouldn't let us use our gmail accounts, so we went back to Chrome, and love it.

I had no idea that only those with a G+ could comment on my Blogger blog? Did I misunderstand that?

Does it mean that only those who want to comment on my blog on my G+ profile can do it if they have a account, or my entire blog? It's so confusing.

But the hardest thing for me is those bloggers who don't have a link in their G+ profile, and when they leave a comment, I need to click through pages to find their blog...I just wish those who do switch would try to have a link for us.

Although I have a Google+ profile with the circles and everything, I rarely go there. I didn't switch over entirely because I hit a statement of how my blog would change and I didn't like it.
It is tough for those of us who read about these things and they might as well be in Greek. I've only seen negative feedback myself about switching entirely to Google +.

I agree with what you say about google plus, and I am avoiding it since I have heard it is hard to get rid of in case you don't care for it. I am staying in blogspot, and am on many social places including Facebook, twitter, linked in, my church's network, etc. and do not want one more change!

I'm not a Google fan, except for their search engine. They want to know everything about you and everywhere you go. I switched from my Google blog ages ago. I hate they don't offer the option to sign in with my stand alone site (actually some do but you have to have Name url and Annoymous checked, and many don't want annoymous because the spammers use it). I hate that those on Google+ don't allow me to comment at all unless I have a Google account. I'm sure blogs are losing readers that way. I have a back door Wordpress sign in for Blogger now, but it can be annoying as it doesn't lead directly to my site.
I have tried Chrome, and if you don't sign in, you can use many of the features. Google also controls so many programs ... You Tube, Picasa and more and I find I use them less and less.
I'm sure you will get lots of interesting comments on today's post.

I use Google Chrome and it's OK for my needs. I don't use Google +,and so can't follow, comment on, read blogs on Google+,because it's like entering a minefield..I've no idea which way to go in case something blows up!

I do not use Google+. I'm very comfortable with the old version, and I actually follow blogs on Bloglovin', which I find has a better format. It's easier to see what's new.

I usually don't change things I'm using just because something new comes along. Why fix what ain't broken?!

I use chrome and have had no problems, such as I had with IE or Firefox. Though, I don't use Google+.

Hi there, I get notifications about google+ but still use Firefox and google search too. I'm not tech savy at all. Hope you are staying warm; our snow is melting but the sun has returned. Sending warm winter hugs to you!

I am having trouble with my Picasa lately...
I have to upload, diretly to Picasa... instead of loading to a draft, and then finding it in Picasa...
Wonder what is going on with that!
Off to the cottage tomorrow...
See what's going on down there!
Cheers!

I have Google Chrome and it works great for me. With computers everything changes ....just get used to using something like Google and they up and change it or make you think they have improved it so it works better.. Not so.. Why can't they just leave things alone..
Have a great day..ta ta for now from Iowa:)

I dont mind chrome, actually I could not comment on a lot of blogs without it , but now my website is not compatible so I have to switch to explorer to make any changes, I just wish they would leave well enough alone sometimes
