The temperature keeps dropping with each hour..-7 now..all schools are cancelled because of the frigid weather...
I use the solar lights that I have outside lining my driveway..I bring them inside and they help with giving off a nice glowing light.. Don't have to worry about lighting a candle.
IT's a good idea to be ready for the
electricity to go off or heaven forbid the furnace would quit.. WHen you live in the midwest one has to be ready.
Have a Blessed day~! ta ta for now from Iowa~!

I'm glad to see that you are all stocked up and ready supplied and that Miggs is taking the sensible option and staying in for once. She is a clever girl. STAY SAFE AND WARM. Please! xx

And it's heading east too! It's still +8 out this evening and some of our snow melted down in the rain this afternoon. Flash freeze for tonight though. :( Keep safe and cozy.

The temperature is below zero and the wind is still blowing. I hibernated today instead of going to the office. The furnace doesn't work that well and I have been trying to have a cold. Your wood stove and lamps remind me of growing up on the farm. I have some lamps here so that if we lose our electricity I will have some light. I even keep wooden matches on hand. It has been miserable and they called off school. I just want it to warm back up. Have a wonderful day. Stay warm and safe. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri friend.
