Back Up & Running

I haven’t been ignoring ya all , our internet has been down . As usual it was from their end our end was all strong and good . So the guy went to the pole at the end of our driveway where their box is and did some fixing and now we are back in the cyber world again .

Weather has changed cold and snowy now with the occasional  pop of sunshine guess the warm break is truly over !

                                                            January 2014 (4 of 7)-2

January 2014 (3 of 7)-2      I took these photos Tuesday night. Each moon phase has a name this  phase  in the photos  is  called  the Waxing Gibbous  . Last nights moon  that was to cloudy here for us to see was the Mini  moon also known as the Wolf moon is the smallest full moon of the year .

I have always been interested and fascinated in the night sky’s especially by the moon . Papa and I used to be with an Astronomy club and got some really cool info  and books . I love my moon atlas full of info and interesting stuff about the moon .

 January 2014 (1 of 3)

 January 2014 (3 of 3)

Now we have all the cool stuff here as well as internet info when it is working lol these days and just enjoy it on our own . Papa and I both have telescopes that we keep in his Observatory / sky pod we have in the back yard .

No matter where you live worldwide, look for the moon to appear full all night long, lighting up the night time from Wednesday’s dusk until Thursday’s dawn. As with any full moon, this January 2014 moon rises pretty much opposite the sun at sunset and sets opposite the sun at sunrise.

So if you get the chance and it is clear where you are tonight look up at the moon and take in it’s beauty and wonder and if you see a star  up from the moon , that is planet Jupiter .

We would  like to welcome our new followers and thank you all for visiting !

Until next time ..  Have a good day !

Those are awesome moon shots! I haven't tried to do that yet, but I'm hoping to one of these days. So many photos to look forward to!

It's wonderful that you're back on the internet. I supposed we could live without it if we had to, but I'd rather not!

I'm lost without our internet connection but then I rely on it as a writer.
We got snow overnight - a good 3 inches and it's still coming down.
Love your moon shot, it was just a hazy form behind the snow last night.

That looks like an amazing book to have. We'll have to hunt for it.

I was always fascinated by astronomy growing up... even had a telescope, though where it ended up I have no idea.
