A Mild Melt Down

Is on the way here .  The temps are already mild and the clouds are in place for the rain we are to be getting . Miggs and I went for a nice walk and I shovelled some snow  to help with the melt down  and as it is so mild I played with Miggs in the back yard after I shovelled and filled the feeders !.

We got a bit of a dusting of snow last night and it is all sticking to the trees . I love it when it does that it looks soo pretty ! I decided to take some photos  before it all melts away .

This little dove was resting in our birch tree .

I like the colours of the dove and tree with the white of the snow makes it all really stand out !

It is mild enough not to have the wood stove going and use just the furnace for a change .  Miggs will only lay on the hearth when there is no fire going as it gets to hot for her . So I decided to take a few photos of our pretty girl laying on the hearth . What a picture perfect pooch .Miggs really is a good photo subject and is so photogenic !

So the rest of today and most of the weekend will be spent puttering in doors as the mild temps bring rain and boy oh boy is it going to be sloppy out there as we get this melt down  !

Until next time  … Have a good weekend !

For once in my life I would love to be able to snap pretty snow photos. The one with the bird is my fave!

And of course any pics of Miggs, in or out of the pretty white stuff.

We're having a bit of a meltdown here too, and we're supposed to have those spring-like temps this weekend, and I'm okay with that, as long as it doesn't last. And you're right about Migg's, she is very photogenic, some dogs aren't, and I know! :-)

Enjoy your Friday!!

I agree that Miggs is very photogenic. Love all your photos though. I think you should make cards and sell them. We have grey skies and it is a bit warmer here; more snow headed this way on Sunday. Have a wonderful weekend friend!

We are going to have rain.

The government here had a new turn over biding and we have laid back plow guys who do doodle all.
Our highway in the country you cannot see the road lines to drive. Not the lines at all.

So what happens when it rains.

Ice city I guess.

Now that is upsetting on the highway to get to A to z.

Nice pictures as usual.

oh my son said that Teddy the dog is not showing any effects of the cancer he is to have by Vet. Can they get better. I mean Teddy is her old self. Running around. Be great if he lives. No pain.

he was diagnosed in Oct.

Love the pics of Miggs in front of the stove. This melt will be so messy here too. Oh well. It will take some of the snow away at least. Take care and have a safe weekend.

Wow, sounds as though things have certainly warmed up there! Good news hey. Hope that the rain doesn't cause any problems and just washes away the snow! xx

Miggs is a pretty beautiful girl. The rain came and 4 feet of snow has disappeared already.

Lots of rain here all day and this afternoon we had a torrential downpour woth lots of gusty winds. Our backyard will be very muddy for days to come as temps are supposed to remain inseasonably mild. Miggs does sit nicely for her portrait shots, Elaine.

she is a photogenic girl! Winston loves the fire , weird ,he will play out in -30 rolling and making doggy snow angels, but when he is in he wants the fire!
