A Break From Winter

We have had a nice warm spell for the past few days and today is just as nice , almost spring like . Miggs and I went for a nice long walk this morning as it was so lovely out . The snow and ice that is melting is causing a lot of  foggy areas and the air is very damp around the valley especially over the river that  is over flowed and  has been spewing out onto the banks .  The sun is shining with a bit of cloud here and there  but all is good .

Miggs also likes the warm break from the winter about as much as she likes the cold and snow lol .

The sky’s are such a lovely blue with big puffy clouds floating . This is the top of the valley were the edge of a farmers field  is !

We have snow patches here and there that don't get much sun but in other areas  most of the snow is gone . For now !

The birdies are venturing out one by one to get food from the feeders  then all of a sudden there are hoards of them , then they fly back to the hedge and start all over again lol .

December 2013 (18 of 29)They also like this warmer sunny weather as they fly about and chit chat up a storm in the hedges and at the feeders !

Almost lunch time Miggs want a treat ??   What  ?, did you say  TREATS ? !

Miggs came  running up to the house and she got her treats .

Until next time .. Have a good day !

Amazing how you are snowbound one day and then it seems to be all gone practically the next! Hope that you don't get any problems with all the melt water. Miggs really doesn't look as if she minds what the weather is as long as she is outside! xx

The warmth has melted a few feet of snow, but we've still got plenty...our driveway is like a skating rink...it's treacherous to walk on.

I wish we had a little more winter here in SoCal. It's like we are having summer already.

So nice to see the grass again! We've been having our January thaw like we do each year, and it's been wonderful. It's snowing lightly this morning, and it looks so pretty outside. I hope you have a great day. Love that last photo!
