Blooming

When it is cold and frosty out and no other blooms around it is nice to have my Christmas cactus in full bloom ! I have two of them .

This Christmas cactus has been around for a long time and yet blooms twice a year with its beauty ! Such perfection has these flowers !

I have a younger Christmas cactus that is just starting to bud but will blooming very soon , it has white and pink flowers !

This morning is frosty again , there was a hint of sun rise over the valley and even fog in the valley but now it is a slight overcast   ,  I see openings in the cloud where the sun is trying it’s hardest to shine through the frost is still hanging on and it looks pretty as it forms and sticks to everything !

The weekend is to warm up with sun and cloud . The weather has been very strange everywhere ! Climates are changing all over the world as the scientists predicted this years ago !

Until next time , hope you all have a good weekend !

Wow!!! Marcy can do this. I, on the other hand, buy one while it's blooming and then proceed to almost killing it. Before it dies I give it to Marcy and the plant dances with glee and blooms for her again.

Mother told me to put them in the dark for a month and then bring them out. It never worked for me.

My Grandma had one that set in the living room in a dark corner! It was in a huge metal dishpan on a high round stand!! The plant was at least 4 ft long and every Christmas is was gorgeous!! We was not allowed to go near it : ) LOL!!

I got a Christmas Cactus last winter and it has not bloomed for me yet, I think we took it home on too cold a day, so I am hoping to see something this winter

Oh what a beautiful Christmas Cactus. I used to have one that was salmon colored and would bloom all year long. Not sure what I did to make that happen.
