SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS LAST NIGHT

The entire South Western Ontario was in RED ALERT for severe thunderstorms and tornados. Papa and I spent the evening bunkering down and watching the weather channel ! We didn't get tornados here but BOY OH BOY did we get thunderstorms. It was the worst storms I have seen in years the thunder was defining the winds were dangerously high , torrential rains and the lighting was flashing like a strobe light and it was white lightning, it was soo dark the lightning made everything look like a negative of a photo ,some places got huge hail . The big storm lasted about an hour and a half then we had smaller storms one after another for a few hours ,poor Miggy was soo scared she huddled up to Papa and I and became a lap dog or at least tried lol needless to say we didn't get much sleep being on the alert  for most of the night!  Some areas got hit hard with trees down and power outages ! This morning is beautiful like it always is after a bad night storm and all is good !   We made it, all are ok here !

Photo off of the weather website of the size of hail that fell in some regions !

I just finished putting all our hanging plants, lights and garden things back into place and are all back to normal !

Until next time, hope you all stay safe and have a good day !

Med's are strong but not doing the trick!!

I love your post of Miggy growing up ..if I wanted to have another dog she would be kind.

Good to know you are all okay, I know how those storms can pop up in an instant and do major damage. I have never seen hail that large.

God bless and keep you safe!

A few years ago a tornado passed through our area. Fortunately, we had no damage here on our farm, but did have some tennis-ball size hail. I saved a few in the freezer to show people.

Wow! We only got quarter size hail and that was big for us. By the way, we're just minutes away from the St. Clair River so not far from Sarnia.

I'm glad you all are safe!! I really don't like storms like that!! As you know we had the earthquake this week and are waiting for the hurricane this weekend--What a week it has been for all of us, hasn't it??

We will be getting some nasty weather this weekend with the threat of Hurricane Irene looming large over pasrts of the east coast and here on the VA eastern shore. Grenville and I just finished putting everything in the barn and trying down things left outside. Worst is supposed to hit on Sat night.
