OVER BEARING MORNING GLORIES

Not to much going on here today at the Cove the weather is sunny one minute and threatening rain the next and the humidity is back again YUK!  Papa is in his shop busy as usual painting or working on a project and I just took some photos of our back garden, the garden that's getting over grown with the Morning Glories ! I have to prune them once a week for if I don't we wont be able to see anything else !

There isn't as many blooms this year !

The Morning Glories are growing from both sides all the way to the top of the bird house ! At one point we couldn't see the bird house ! We have to keep chicken wire around this garden cause the critters love to munch away at the plants !

This garden is some what a wild garden all sorts grows here ! Some I put in others have just seeded from some were and decided to grow !

I leave you with this photo I took a few days ago !

Oh, that last image is incredible!

We have morning glory volunteers in our garden. I came home after ten weeks away and found the morning glories nearly hiding the house!

I have to admit I LOVE Morning Glories, although I do keep them confined to a raised bed along the pickett fence.
Yours are just gorgeous, the blue is my favorite color.
What a beautiful pictured of the butterfly, it's almost ghost-like.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend !

Beautiful photos...Dad used to fight morning glories with a passion, they grow wild here.

Great looking garden.

The last shot is truly a piece of art.

Morning glories - it's definitely a love/hate relationship, isn't it?! I like the way yours surround the birdhouse.

And that last photo is terrific! Don't you just love photographing nature?

Great pictures, especially the last one! I really love Morning Glories but know how they can take over when your back is turned. We had them at our last house and I collected the seeds to plant here, but just haven't--Next year!

Enjoy your weekend!

Elaine, we don't have any morning glories or trumpet vines in our wildflower collections, but I know these varieties can be quite persistent. Some neighbors have them in their yards so it's easier to admire theirs without the problems. ENjoyed the butterfly shot, which looks like a sulfer. This butterfly site has great info for IDing them . . .
