A Bit Of This & That & Back Yard Birdies

Well like most of my posts the weather plays a big part of my days and the weather here has been wet,wet,wet , rain for past three days on and off and chilly,  hoping for some more sunshine soon other then the odd pop of it every now and then , that would be nice but  I will take what  I can get this time of year   and  regardless of the weather Miggs and I have been able to get our walks in in the mornings so that's good for us, we do so love our walks  and the odd few moments in the yard to and watch the birdies .

                          The Blue Jays are always quite the character's and noisy to as they squawk at everyone .

                      Our little White Breasted nut hatch has been busy fueling up preparing for the cold days ahead .

As has our Red Breasted nut hatch to , it is nice to have  these little guys at the feeders again as well as our Chickadee's.

It takes them some time to warm up to my camera and I but when they do we have a lot of fun .

All though they could take some relaxing lessons from Miggs who loves the camera just a bit to much at times lol !

I think this little guy was paying attention to Miggs in the relaxing part in front of the camera which is a good thing for me  .

Lots of theses little guys White Throated Sparrow's about now to as they peck and scratch beneath the cedar hedges all day .

On the odd moments of clearing from the clouds and rain has been quite pleasant but it doesn't seem to last long , this time of year it is hard cause so much less sunshine is to be had .

Our trees are a mix of colours and some are bare whilst others are half way there and some still have green leaves on , strange how the change in weather affects even the trees and how they react to it all . Lots of wet leaves on the ground and not so nice to tidy them up or mulch them so we are hoping for some dry sunny  days soon.

Well that's about it for my rambling on about well ..  not much as this time of year it gets pretty boring and quiet here other than the birdies chatting and chirping , a time for all to wind down and cozy in for the next season  . I cant believe how fast this month of October has gone already  and Halloween is Wednesday night . Our valley village has a few kids  most are Mennonite’s  and the others are mostly older  that go to town for trick or treating  so we don't do the handing out candy thing any more .  WOW ! a new month is just around the corner already .
