Lazy Summer Days


Hello all , I hope you all have been enjoying this summer and having lots of summer lazy days , I know I have been lol . I have been puttering about weeding, watering and dead heading plants in my gardens going for early morning walks with our Miggs as well as taking lots of photos in awe of this seasons wonders .

                                        And watching the butterfly's and moths collect the nectar from my flowers !

                           OH CANADA !!  our new flag and higher flag pole is on our front lawn waving with pride .Smile

                        I have two Rose of Sharon's blooming like mad this year , a breed of hibiscus they are .

                     Mrs Robing the other evening was collecting beetles for the her last of the seasons brood .

Our crab apple tree growing berries  for the fall season already so that the migrating birds can feast on their way through !

The clouds and their formations have been wonderful the past few days as they float over our valley like 3D cotton balls .

The hummers have all finished nesting and are fueling up and will be for the next few weeks before they take off on their journey south .

The Monarchs have been traveling through to and the odd few stop by to have a nibble . The field beside us will soon be blooming with Goldenrod and wild Asters and then all kinds of pollinators will be fluttering and buzzing about it . I cant believe how fast the days and moths have been going or have gone  the summer is just flying by , we haven't had lots of rain this summer either has been quite dry for us as usual the rain clouds seem to horse shoe around us  but I have managed to keep our gardens happy and blooming regardless .  Talking about the summer going by so fast why I have noticed some trees leaves already beginning to change .

           May be just the tip wayyy up there on our 150+ year old Manitoba Maple but its a start to the next season to come .
