From My Windows Early This Morning

It was about 7am when Miggs and I got up . I looked outside to the south east from my bedroom window like I do every morning to see what is going on if anything out in the valley  , nope still dark ,   so I toddled down stairs with Miggs by my side and looked out the back to the west and there it was the  full moon  , known by its name as the Wolf moon this time of year . I wasn't able to catch it last night as it was to cloudy but this morning it was beautiful and seems like it was just there for me to see  .  I said good morning moon or rather good night to it as it was setting  .

As the moon was setting and the sun was rising in the cold crisp air the moon had a haze around it .

Then I saw the glow in the south east of orange and pink and purple in the puffs of cloud and contrails  , could it be , it is  , it is the sun rising just on the horizon,  we haven't seen it for a few days . Good morning sun shine  I said . Even though it is cold out I find having the sun shining this time of year makes it that much easier to bare the cold day don't you?! .

So Miggs and I went about our morning . I let her out after her breakfast and she does her investigating of the  yard  every morning .

We have no snow left .

Except this tiny bit at the bottom of the driveway .

As the sun  got higher in the sky the birds and the land began to wake up . I had finished my few morning chores had my cuppa tea got dressed and off we went for our walk . It was brisk out  but soo good to get out and about again after all the rainy days we had  .

Miggs loves the coolness of the ground and the warmth of the sunshine this time of year silly dog , she is watching the squirrels here as they run back and forth in the yard , sometimes she gives chase and sometimes like here she just watches them .

More sunshine ahead for us this weekend so that's good  but  it will be cold , oh well guess this time of year it is to be expected .

                                                                                      Until next time .

That's quite a beautiful sight to wake up to. We still have plenty of snow so I'll mail you some. ;-) "Hi Miggs."

Well, we're still covered in snow. The moon shots are outstanding, and Miggs is always a welcome sight.

We've had cloudy nights too so haven't got a good view of the moon or stars. Mild and rain for Thursday which melted away most of the snow from the beginning of the week. Cold today, a few odd flurries but nothing to worry about. I've been making hearty veggie soup, some for now and some for the freezer. Enjoy the weekend.

It looks like spring there!! A strange winter for you this year although we had a January thaw this past week that greatly diminished our snow and another thaw coming mid-week. The moon was nicely visible on Thursday night and in the early mornings before it set here. It was so bright on the snow which I love to see if I'm up late. Enjoy the weekend.
