Happy New Year everyone .
Our new years day was lovely , the sun was shining , most of our snow has gone and we have green every where and Papa has finished putting up my mudroom /laundry room walls with gyprock . it had dark paneling on before , Papa will be putting up white cupboard's a broom pantry and a coat n boot closet in a few weeks and then painting the walls white so it will be all fresh clean and bright and I will have tons of storage YIPPY ! .
So we had a nice camp fire yesterday since it was a nice day out of all the old pieces of wood from his shop and the old paneling .
Miggs was enjoying us being outside .
We also took advantage of the nice day to take our outdoor Christmas decorations and lights down the indoor was done a while ago . Then we puttered a bit about outside and sat by the campfire for a bit .
What did you do on your first new years day ?!
It is frosty this morning and we are to be getting rain or maybe even a mix of snow and rain later in the afternoon and evening and possibly over night so that's not to bad , I see some of you up in the northern parts of our Ontario are deep in snow YIKES ! and yet down here in southwestern Ontario we are more green then white .
Birdies are feasting at the feeders, squirrels are about keeping Miggs occupied and cotton tail bunnies at night here and there as are our crows we have hanging about we named one George years ago and he and Miggs talk to one another , it is funny and quite interesting that they seem to understand one another to lol . Well that's about it for me for now , hope the new year brings more fun for you all and for me behind my lens and maybe even a new bird or two or critter , oh I am looking forward to spring already hehe !
Until next time .

Lovely to sit by the fire on New Year's day. We had a quiet day, fed the birds, did some reading, some crochet, some Ancestry research. Back to routines today.
Happy New Year!
I went about yesterday taking some photos. We're well entrenched now in snow.
It looks like summer down there! Want some of our snow?
Your fire is almost like a celebration of the New Year, that seems like it's off to a good start!! --I'm hoping for a little bit of snow!
Campfires are not something I associate with NY but how grand for you. We are snow covered, but it's raining now -- and beginning to freeze when it hits.
New Year's Day was gorgeous here too, and sitting by an outdoor fire sounds quite nice! The rain has descended today, however, and it looks wet and miserable out there. Happy New Year!

That fire looks wonderful. We're completely white here and have been for quite some time. It sounds like more is on the way along with squalls. I'm looking forward to seeing what your husband has created. Best wishes for 2017, Kelly.
So nice to have those mild days early in January (so the outdoor decor can be easily taken down) but as I read this post - the weather has changed completely - snow, stormy, windy and very cold. Oh well, approx. 11 more weeks till Spring - eek!
Happy new year to you and Papa, Elaine. The fire looked nice and toasty. We celebrated the 1st day of 2017 by staying nice and cozy indoors.
