That's what my mum called me when the rainy gloomy weather kept me inside day after day and that's what it has been doing the past few days . I cant believe I am about to say this but I prefer snow then rain this time of year , at least with snow one can go out in it , rain and mud not so much lol ! I find at least snow is bright even with cloud, rain low clouds and mud DULL stuff !
Whilst all the other blackbirds migrated I have noticed this one Grackle who seems to have stayed and didn't want to pack up his bird bag and fly south . The birds don't seem to mind these gloomy gus day’s as long as they have plenty to munch on .
These Blue jays are comical and at one point there were 8 of them on the ground under the feeders .
Miggs was snoozing on the job earlier lol !
See Mr Squirrel in the back ground lol !
Miggs and Harley also seem like gloomy gus’s on rainy days like this to as Miggs came in and joined Harley , yup on Miggs bed . Harley takes it over when Miggs is out aside or they just share lol !
A gloomy gus day where all snuggle up .
Oh well at least the rain stopped and it got a bit brighter so Miggs and I had a nice walk this afternoon .
Until next time .

Cute photos. Your birds look happy. It' a winter wonderland here. I'd rather have that, too, than rain.
I could be called a gloomy Gus too when it rains. There is just something gloomy about rainy days. You sure have a lot of pretty birds at the feeders. Seems like we don't have many now. Poppy says it's because of Smokey, our cat. He stays outside a lot.
Miggs and Harley seem to have the right idea!
I went for a walk in the woods today ... and the rain! I thought it would make being cooped up inside a bit more bearable ;)
🎶🎶the sun will come out tomorrow🎶🎶
Cheer up...Christmas is one month away! 😳
Cheers!
Linda :o)
It's nice to see Miggs and Harley together!
Your photos are full of happiness. You are an excellent photographer.
Nothing wrong with being gloomy on a rainy day, Elaine, but I am with you in that I would orefer snow. It's way prettier and I would be able to enjiy it while indoors.
The two animals sleeping side by side is very sweet.
I just made a batch of my all season suet, filled some feeders, and are now enjoying the birds snacking away. It sure has been a gloomy day with fog and misty rain. But it's better than ice and snow which had a double dose of this past week.
