Well Hello Again

We are back up and running , both cable and internet  thank goodness . It all turned out to be a chewed wire on the pole at the end of the drive way that caused all of the sporaticness of cable and internet . Some cheeky squirrel or chipmunk must thought that was funny  , nope guys it wasn't  , I will have to keep an eye out as to which one it was that likes chewing wires .

Any who … the weather has been sunny and rainy and very cool for this time of year that past few days , every now and then some humidity would show up then  lovely cool  breezes would blow in and humidity gone  but all round lovely weather . I have been busy in the gardens keeping the weeds at a dull roar , cutting and trimming grass and then enjoying it all afterwards .

After the rains yesterday I went about and took photos as the sky was clearing up  and the sun started to shine .

JULY 2015 (11 of 32)-2

This Red Admiral was sunning himself on the patio and I believe taking a well deserved rest . Did you know butterfly’s use the sun on their wings as part of their energy  ?  like solar panels as they spread their wings out and flatten them to get as much heat from the sun as they can .  They have always used the sun for  solar power , goes to show it pays off  for us to  pay more attention to nature and their ways of survival doesn't it ?!

JULY 2015 (14 of 32)-2

Tiny rain drops left on my Giant Lillie's as the sun absorbs the rest !

JULY 2015 (26 of 32)-2

My Hostas are in full bloom and all the little bell type flowers look soo  pretty and each and every one of them are perfectly beautiful .

JULY 2015 (1 of 32)-2

Our flowers have all bloomed  in our hummer , bee and butterfly garden and it smells and looks wonderful and all are loving it as they collect nectar form them . I just have to be very slow and quiet to capture any hummers in it .

JULY 2015 (4 of 32)-2

JULY 2015 (29 of 32)-2

Miggs is so enjoying her cool doo and finds it so easy to move faster with out all that fur to chase the squirrels and she can hide incognito  from them better lol .

JULY 2015 (16 of 32)-2

I found another if not the same  Red Admiral on my front garden cone flowers busy gathering nectar !

I love this time of year with all it’s beauty and wonder in and around my gardens and now again I can share it all with you thanks to having a working internet again lol .

Until next time  my friends !

Pesky critters chewing wires! Your garden is looking lovely, all the rain has had benefits but has been a trying summer for our winged friends.
Enjoy the upcoming weekend!

Miggs appears to be enjoying the day, for sure. Your lilies are wonderful, and the blooms on the hostas. Mine weren't blooming just yet at the old house. We aren't sure we will have a spot for them at the new house.

she looks like a new girl with her haircut. Fingers crossed no more chewing of wires from the wildlife. They (mice) used to chew through our telephone cable at our old house (SIGH)

Well at least now you have the answer. I bet it was a electrifying experience for some critter. Power and internet outages are so common here, it's as if it's part of the package. Last night a semi took out the lines in our little downtown below us. No one had power, cable, or internet for hours.

Thanks for the info on the red admiral butterfly, we have them here, but I wasn't sure what they were. And I did not know about the sun...what a cool fact. Um, no pun intended.

Love all your pictures as always. Our weather has been on and off too-this week was cold and raining, but today is warm and sunny. However, I can see the clouds in the sky moving in.
Hope you have a fantastic weekend and glad your cable/internet is back up and working. We once had rats chewing on our wires-yuck.
Hugs, Noreen

Beautiful Butterflies! Chippy are nortorious for chewing wires as are Red Squirrels...hope you find out which one is the culprit...once they start they usually don't stop:(

Good morning, I love the Red Admiral, gorgeous captures. And your flowers are beautiful. Recently wires in my car were chewed, luckily the insurance paid for the repair. I think it was a chipmunk. Lovely images, enjoy your day!
