Today In Our Neck Of The Woods

It is a bit gloomy here with the odd peek of sunshine through the big dark clouds and the temps are chilly and damp . Papa Miggs and I went for a walk earlier this morning . Papa is in his wood shop working on another little project , Miggs is out side patrolling the yard and I just came in from taking photos out side .

Miggs seeing if I am watching her patrol the yard , Yes Miggs good girl  for watching the yard !

Mrs Cardinal hiding deep in the burning bush !

NOVEMBER 2014 (17 of 39)

Whist Mr Cardinal sit's high on the Cedar hedge on the look out and calling her ! The fall and  winter birds all seem a little skittish right now but they will get used to us soon enough .

Then I cam inside for a cup of coffee to warm up as it is damp and chilly out and needed to water my indoor blooms . I love that these bloom all through the colder months makes it a bit easier to take !

Just got the call to take a photo and see what Papa was working on . So I took my camera with me to his shop !

He just made a little paper towel holder from scrap wood for his shop as he didn’t have one so figured why not make one lol  Nice job Papa .  So that is a bit of our Sunday at Woods Country Cove . All in now having lunch and cozying down to watch a movie or two !

                                                                     Until next time

That is a great paper towel holder that Papa made .. very talented man. You beat me with the winter flags, will hold on another week or so to do mine. Love seeing Mr and Mrs Cardinal ... my favourite birds. It is dull and dreary here too. I've got a sewing project to finish up this afternoon.

What a resourceful man you have there! I love your shot of the dove - we counted 17 in our garden today all waiting to be fed. Have a great week x

Your cardinal pics are beautiful. I have noticed a lot of people in NB have them in their yards but I have yet to see one. There were a lot of robins around last week after the snowstorm but I think they've decided to head for warmer climes. At least I hope! Have a good evening.

That male cardinal is so bright.
I perfect way to reuse scrap wood. It looks good enough for inside the house.
Hope you are well and enjoying the Autumn season.
Stay warm.

I think you've truly found (and saw) the best in your gloomy and chilly day, and Papa made the best of the scrap wood from his shop!

It's always nice to use up scrap wood for little projects and I like the paper towel holder.
I admire your Christmas cactus blooms, one plant I just cannot get to bloom - the little tips always fall off.
North Bay got a fair bit of snow this afternoon, saw photo of the grands with a snowman already.

The winter birds ARE a bit skittish right now but that didn't stop a chickadee sitting on my hat this morning!

Nice paper towel holder;I admire how handy some people are with bits of wood!

I like all of your blooms too. My Christmas cactus is just leaves. I'll have to have a talk with it.
