It is still snowing and the winds still gust every now and then out there has been since yesterday morning seems like it will never slow down or end and it is cold -4°C Feels like –12 BRR ! and it isn't officially winter here either .
The birdies seem to feed like mad in the winds and snow fall and I saw Mr & Mrs Cardinal in and around the tree were the feeders are located .
We have 4 males and three females hanging about and boy do the males vibrant red colour ever pop out in the snow !
Oh and Mr Squirrel was getting in on the food to !
Papa was out again yesterday evening all suited up snow blowing as the paths he did the day before got filled with snow again .
So looks like we are in again today for the most part but like usual I will bundle up and go out for a bit take more photos fill the feeders and have snow play time with Miggs in the back yard , it isn't to bad in our yard as we have a hedge lined around the property of large Cedar's they shelter us a bit more from the winds then it would if we didn't have them .
and the Cedars keep the birdies hidden and sheltered to !
Until next time

Just look at those beautiful red cardinals! What a sight to see. And the other sweet birdies in the cedar hedge. You have a nice protected yard for them all. We got a dusting of snow in the night but it's going up to +3. Enjoy the day.
Thanks for sharing. There is nothing prettier than a cardinal in the snow. Keep warm!
Luckily for us we did not get as much as southern Ontario. We've got enough to give the snowblower its first run of the season. We have had the cardinals too, and I love the brilliant red of the males against the snow The snow seems to suck the colour out of everything, especially when it is cloudy. Stay warm and safe.
Morning, love that bright red bird, lucky you...beautiful pictures,Francine.
Oh, how pretty.. Love those red birds.. smile.. the squirrel is cute, too. xo
You really did get a lot down there.
Stay warm and enjoy the birds! xx
Beautiful pictures as always.
The Red Cardinal is one of my favorite songbirds. He is the perfect Christmas bird :)

I feel so sorry for wildlife being hit by this weather so soon.I hope that the chipmunks were able to store enough food in time.

Nice to see those cardinals!
I am anticipating a melt next week. It's too early for the snow to stay.
