Get A Grip !!!

On snow and ice that is !!

I have been meaning to get this type of thing for my winter boots for ages but it always seems to be one of those things  ya just go with out or keep forgetting to pick up so as I was mentioning it again this year mainly for me when Miggs and I go for our winter walks  so I don't end up  T*T s up or A** over heels  Papa bought us each a pair of these Gripons for our boots  from our Canadian Tire store.  He used his Gripons the other night to once again after another snow storm clear the drive way and said they are great . I was still yet to put them to the test on our walk as I walk on the unplowed packed snowed and  iced roads up and down hills we have here . Well let me tell you these are FANTASTIC !!   Even when Miggs pulls me on the odd occasion I don't end up skiing in my boots down hill any more and waddling like a penguin trying not to fall  lol

This is the package from Papa’s Gripons . Mine are smaller lol . They have kids , men's and women's sizes ! They fit over your boots and are made from the rubber of tires  and the grips are metal studs  like cleats  and are just in the right place to and boy do they grip .

Like the package says :  Snow Tires For Your Feet !

December 2013 (2 of 3)-2

These are mine . The best $ 4.99 I think one could spend !

December 2013 (3 of 3)-2

So if your like me and enjoy a nice  fresh winters day walk  and don't want to spend the entire time watching your footing  as to whether your gona  slip or not and enjoy the winter scenery instead I would recommend a pair or two of these Gripons !

We are to be getting hit by yet another snow storm over the weekend  with rain and freezing rain so it will be a mess out there and one never knows  if our power will go out or for how long here in these storms .

So until next time  … Get your Gripon  and have a good day  lol  !

"...waddling like a penguin..." Hahaha...yes, anyone who lives in cold regions knows about that!

This is a great idea! I will check out my local store.

Being born and raised in Southern California and living here my entire life, I just cannot get my mind wrapped around these kind of things.

I found an older pair of these that were up on the closet shelf a week or so ago. We used to have to wear them when we went out on yard duty to stop slipping. We just might need them this weekend if we get the ice pellets and rain they are predicting.

My hubby has a air of these, he found they snapped off if it got too cold out.

I love your header photo, very adorable :)

I have a similar pair of ice grips but don't use them like I should. I must dig them out this week. You got yours for a great price I must say!

I found your blog through Julie Marie's. I have enjoyed reading it and love the pictures. Maybe I should try to find a pair being I fell on the ice last year. I didn't break, but I will be back to visit you. Your New follower from Missouri

I don't think I've seen anything much cuter that Miggs in the Santa hat. Are the gripons hard to get on and off your boots?
