This & That

The weather has been lovely , more summer like then spring with lots of sunshine and temps hitting 22ºC  or 71ºF . The birds have been busy feeding and chasing each other around and collecting twigs and grass for their nests .

Yesterday I finally knuckled down and cleaned all my windows . We sold a TV unit we do not use any more  that was in the spare bedroom so I have that to rearrange and plan what to do with what’s left in there .

Some of my Hyacinths have come to an end already as has some of my Daffodils  but my tulips have just bloomed . I took two of my Geranium plants out onto the front porch in their hanging pots and one has bloomed and the other is about to !

Our Lilac bushes are all ready showing signs of blooms . Each bush has different colours some a burgundy wine colour , some light purple and others are white  flowers but all smell so wonderful !

The Orioles have been busy drinking their nectar and causing havoc between each other as there are three males and one female !

New Door (1 of 1)

They love my concoction I make for them  Sugar water with a drop of 100% orange juice ! I read about this from a birding site and they just love it !

We saw a Hummer on Sat evening but haven’t seen one since  . I hope the rest arrive soon I have already cleaned , changed and refilled their nectar feeders !

Miggs has something in her sites as she sits quietly after we came back from our lovely early morning walk around the village saying our good mornings and Miggs getting the odd treat from the neighbours !

They say we may get a frost on Sunday  , I hope not all though with the way the weather has been for most of this year who knows it can flip and change so fast !

Not much going on here at the cove just living simple  , puttering and loving the sunny warm weather   and all the nature we have here !

I would like to thank all of you for wising James a Happy Birthday  ! And welcome any new followers, we are happy to have you aboard !

Well that's all for today , until next time , Thanks for popping by !

I have seen Orioles in the 9 years we have lived here, however not been fortunate for them to stick around to feed.

I'll try adding a bit of orange juice to the oriole feeder, thanks for the tip. Perhaps some rain tonight and tomorrow.
