Yesterday Papa and I went to our Saddle club events for the first events of this season . Papa and I are the photographers for the club and we both love and have ridden horses !
The weather was sunny , not a cloud in sight cool and it was windy but great for riding !
The club has found a new place this year as the person they were renting land off of last year is selling the land and it is a bit to pricy for the club to buy so our president of the club got the club at a local fair grounds in the small town of Aylmer 20 min away . The fair grounds have been there since the 1800s and has a very well known and popular country fall fair that goes on there every year .
Papa and I took 2000 photos between the two of us of horse and rider in each event . I am happy to say the club has grown with more members that joined up this year !
There is all kinds of events and judging of horse & rider .
This lady here is one of our judges from our club who is a wonderful teacher and trainer of horse and rider and travels for other shows judging as well . She has also bought lots of her photos of her horse and her as she rides and competes as well !
Here the Judge is helping one of the youngsters get his pony over the bridge !
I love the barrel race event !
We have the members sign a Model Release Form so that we can use them and their horses on here or our websites or for advertising if we please . Lots of the older members love having us take their photos in the events and have bought lot’s of their choice from us and from what I saw and heard the new members are thrilled to have their own club photographers as well !
I love watching the kids ride and compete ! It is all in great fun and helps the kids gain confidents and control of their horses and ponies and lots of ribbons to be won and proud of their accomplishments and efforts !
Papa is at one end of the arena and I at the other so we can cover all angles of horse and rider in the events !
We were there from 9 to 3 taking photos !
All the riders and horses are fantastic . Two of the many things Papa and I love , photography and horses .
