Busy In Our Gardens

Hello all !

I haven’t been around here for a few days as Papa and I have been busy planting all our flowers . We went to our fave garden centre early Saturday morning . Miggs loves going with us she gets so many hugs and pats and  there is so much to sniff . When we get home she is a pooped pooch lol !

Spring 2013 (1 of 10)

We unloaded the van and put the flowers on our garden tables to sort out where we are going to plant them  and what ones I want in planters !

Spring 2013 (3 of 10)

It takes time to plant each one and coordinate your colours and remember not to plant them to close to each other as they eventually spread !  The weather has been summer like temps with cool breezes .

Whilst I was busy at the tables Papa was in his shop for a bit and made this for me .

Spring 2013 (6 of 10)

The rock came form one of our gardens he cleaned it up  engraved the letters and flowers then painted them so they stand out ! I was surprised cause I had no idea what he was up to and I love it ! Thanks Papa Red heart!

Spring 2013 (7 of 10)

Papa and I oh and Miggs the supervisor  love to plant together and figure out and get each others opinion as what looks good where !

All gardens are completed now and 22 planters are all done now  FEW !  Lots of work and using muscles we forgot about but we love it and when it all grows and fills out we see it was all worth it !

Papa also designed  and built this little garden edging around one of my Lilac bushes !

Spring 2013 (1 of 1)

As it is our long weekend , today we are relaxing and enjoying  the beautiful weather and what we have accomplished !  The temp now this morning is  20ºC  or  68ºF  with a cool breeze but by  mid day it will be hot !

I will take lots of photos of the gardens as things plump up and fully bloom !

Until next time . Thanks for popping by !

I love your garden rock. Isn't it lovely to get plants into the gardens and baskets? We've been doing that too.

Love the rock Papa made for you!

Your garden is going to be lovely! Now, sit back and enjoy all your hard work and give those muscles a rest!

Wish I had more room for a garden.

Lovely starting for you. We had yukie weather being a long weekend for Canadians. Victoria Day. Rain, with mud. Yukies. No sun.

So I stayed in and did a lace Mini book for my friends Mother which they will take when they go on holidays to her.I wont have to mail the book . My books always end up bigger , bigger. I just have to add some small bling, bling hearts to cover. So your garden is going to be beautiful as it grows. I love flowers.

What a sweet little rock... I bet it feels great to have all your flowers planted... I have no idea what I want to buy in flowers, so far I've only bought a few new strawberry plants and a couple of blueberry bushes... like you say, takes time to plant and sort colours! Cheers~

That bunch of annual should keep you busy for a while, Elaine!!
Perhaps this weekend I can start doing up a few baskets...

Cheers!

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
