A Welcomed Sight & Sound

The weather has been beautiful this week here . Lots of sunshine and warm temps in the 70s . I have been preparing and planning our gardens for our trip to the garden centre this weekend as it is the long weekend for us and the weekend that I always plant my flowers . I have been hanging laundry out on the line  , taking Miggs for long walks ,  taking photos and just enjoying being outdoors .

As I was puttering in the yard these past few days I have heard a bird that I haven’t heard before but also could not spot , till today . He was a tricky little guy and flew from tree to tree singing and I just couldn’t catch a glimpse of him at all   as he is tiny and hides amongst the leaves . Well  , I was patient with my camera moving slowly towards his song and out he popped in plain sight GOTCH YA !  I finally got a few photos of him after hours of trying to spot him !

Spring 2013 (1 of 1)-56

                                                                         A Yellow Warbler .

Now in the years we have been here I have never seen let alone heard one of these guys here but he is A Welcomed Sight and Sound to our many song birds we have here  in our back yard ! He has been serenading us from  the top of every tree joining in a sing song with the other birds .

Until next time . Thanks for popping by !

Lucky you seeing the warbler in your garden. We have never seen one in ours but can view lots of them when going down to Prince Edward Point.

I remember a vacation when we hadn't been in Canada very long..I found a dead yellow warbler...the most perfect bird I had ever seen.
Have a great long weekend.

What a treat!! I also enjoy hearing and seeing something that I've never seen before, there's something so exciting about that, isn't there?
