Not to panic !
I find it hard to explain here so I will do my best lol !
What it does is read websites , blogs Twitter feeds , RSS feeds etc. So basically if you do not use Google Reader you are ok . Google Reader is a RSS reader there fore if you do not use it , it will not affect you in any way .
If you use Google Reader I have read that there are other substitutes . Such as Feedly, Bloglines , Pulse , Old Reader and Newsblur .
I have read Google Reader is shutting down do to not having a large enough customer base .
I just wanted to clarify this for those of you that may be wondering if it affects you !
Isn’t all the techno babble confusing ? I think it is , thankfully I have a techno geek in Papa or I would be lost in here lol !
Hope this helps !
Have a good day !
Country Gal !
P.S Post before this is of Miggs , I just wanted to get this out lol !

I have adjusted a couple of days ago, and following everyone thru Bloglovin' ; hoping it works well for me, as I loved Google Reader. We will adjust just like any other changes we have had to make in the past *smile*. Enjoy your evening, E. !
I THINK this will not affect me, since I follow many blogs and the new posts pop up when I log in to my blog, and not thru an RSS feed. Thanks for the explanation.
I use google reader...but I am trying feedly...just a matter of getting used to it...Have a great day!
I just list the blogs I follow on my own side bar, then come over for visits from there. Works for me....
Thanks for the explanation! I've heard that it was shutting down but wasn't sure if it would affect me or not but I didn't think it would.
I use blogger as my reader.
Gosh, I am a complete technophobe and don't understand what all this means!
Jane xx
A great explanation, thanks for the head's up.
Also never used Google Reader and like other bloggers have mentioned just list some I follow right on our blog. It's sometimes hard enough to keep up without being notified via an RSS feed. Thanks, Elaine, for posting this explanation.
