A Fun Photo Shoot

 

Yesterday Papa and I went to an Amish farm to take photos of his horses either standing or in action for a catalogue that the Amish buy and sell horses from ! It was cold and we were out there for about 4 hours . It is so hard to take good photos in the snow when the sky is grey as well  but we are pleased with them.  We ourselves were a team Papa at one angle and I at the other to insure we get as many different shots as possible !  Papa is working on some of the photos now , some will be enhanced and some touched up but all will be ready for our client for tomorrow evening ! Between the two of us we took 700 photos !

Our client said we can keep any of the photos and use them as we please . I have always wanted to photograph Belgians .

 

                      This is his Dutch warmblood  who has blue Appaloosa eyes ! Beautiful horse !

       The stride on this horse is like a trotter so long and smooth with lean powerful  legs !

Then as we were photographing another person an Amish neighbour of our client came up to us and asked if we had time to photograph his horse  , well yes of course we do  I was in my glory at this point so much I didn’t even notice the cold and winds lol !

Whilst we were waiting for the other client to get his horse and hitch him up , I was visiting with his horses and kissing warm soft noses ! This little fuzzy paint pony was soo cute we hit it off so well , I said to Papa he would fit in the van ya know hehe ! Pony was warm with is fuzzy winter coat mean while I wore 5 layers of clothing to stay warm . Papa snuck  in more photos of me with the pony !

 

                   This is the other client and his horse ! Took lot’s of photos of them as well !

  So needless to say we have lots of work of sorting and perfecting to do but it is worth it as I had so much fun doing what I love to do  being around horses and  Photography !
