WOW ! December Already !

No snow here but it’s cold and windy, it’s got a bit of a bite to the wind .  I went around the house and changed my calendars , one of them Papa had made for me with my photos and the other is my kitchen calendar of country prints  . I have had these country print calendars for years and I save them for the lovely prints in hopes that one day I can frame  the prints I like and put them up .

These prints take me back to my farm days when I was a kid !

Tonight Papa and I are going to our neighbours who are also our friends for a yearly neighbour Christmas  pot luck supper .  We and a few of our neighbour friends gather at  ones house every year then the next year at a another neighbour friends house . So Today I am making a pasta salad for our neighbour pot luck Christmas supper .

These darn birds are driving me crazy , they are landing in our yard scaring all the other birds and feasting on the seed and they love peanuts , brats !

Miggy does her best to chase them off . This morning Miggs  was barking at one as he sat in the tree waiting for her to leave and swoop down to collect his breakfast of seed and peanuts , geesh they are worse then Blue jays hogging it all ! Oh well guess the poor things must be hungry and the weather keeps pray at bay !

Well I am off to make the pasta salad for tonight !

Until next time hope you all have a good day !

That is a lovely tradition. Beautiful print too. We have been getting a lot of crows around here lately. And no, I can't believe it is December already. Have a great weekend!

Hi Elaine ...Have a wonderful get together ..sounds like fun!!
Crows have to eat, but they could check out the neighbors garbage, or some road kill : )!

You have a great time at your friends, at least it's not a long drive in the cold.

We have crows here in the spring, they nest right outside our bedroom, it's a cawing thing.

And then the rest of the year, we have Ravens...man they are huge. There is nothing like the quiet afternoon and standing in the garden when suddenly they ripples of the air are disturbed by their huge wingspan. The sound that they make as they fly is distinctively and only theirs.

A block party!! That is a wonderful tradition when many people don't know their neighbors.

WHat a nice tradition to gather with the neighbors. Sadly, the ones here while friendly do not get together, but we do share dinner and have game nights with a couple of friends and always have a great time. So far, the unwelcome starlings have not found the seed in our feeders, but then it is only a matter of time (sadly). No snow here and most likely we won't get a lot as we never do so I will enjoy your postings of the white stuff, Elaine. Have a great weekend - yikes Dec 1 already and I also changed our calendars today!
