I had mentioned before a few times here that I have been searching for pine cones in the woods to decorate for Christmas this year . I feel the drought we had affected the growth of the pine cones as I have had the hardest time finding any .
Well , Papa came through again for me . He went to town yesterday morning to pick up a few bits and pieces we needed as I stayed home and made Pasta salad for our pot luck neighbour supper . By the way it was a wonderful evening , so much food that our friend Sue who hosted the supper said we are to come back today for lunch .
Papa came in the door with the stuff then said to me I have a surprise for you ! I said oh really what it is ? He said close your eyes . So I closed my eyes and he came in with something that smelt wonderful I said cinnamon MMM he said open you eyes now , well I opened eyes and the bag and there were two packages of the plumpest yummiest smelling pine cones I have ever seen !
Oh they smell soo wonderful and the smell of cinnamon is wafting through the house !
So now I have all kinds of Christmas decorating ideas for these now . I have some nice white Burch wood in the wood shed , I will be getting branches of fresh pine tree and Cedar , some red ribbon , oh this will be fun !
Doesn't take much to make me happy , Thanks Papa !
Until next time hope you all have a great day !

What a sweet and kind and thoughtful thing for your husband to do!!
I wish you lived closer though--With the hurricane it blew every single pine cone out of our tree in front and they are everywhere!
Take care, and stay warm!! :-)
Have fun!! Papa is very thoughtful:)
