Our Simple Christmas Decorations

This year we have gone very simple with the decorating and less . Even our tree is simple and small . We decided  to decorate in simple country home crafts and  woodsy . I may have to go to a bigger tree next year as Papa will be scrolling wood ornaments for the tree next year in his wood shop .

With the woodsy decor  I made and posted yesterday it all works perfectly !

Nothing fancy just simple for us now as we are empty nesters . We got word that the kids will be able to make it Christmas day eve   so we are excited of that news . They have a 2 hour drive after visiting with other family but at least they can make it , it will be lovely to see them !

Until next time hope you all have a great day !

I love your little Christmas bird house. Your town sounds like ours. Our shops are in old buildings, too and we are surrounded by very historic, little towns. Our downtown is lit up 'like a Christmas tree' :-)

Hello Elaine girl !
I love the woodsy touches .. they are beautiful .. I would love to smell the scent of spruce in the house and the cinnamon pine cones I buy always remind me of Xmas .. I think everyone is down sizing when it comes to decorating now .. just simple touches are relaxing and heart warming such as yours girl : )

We are also going very simple this year, Elaine, but we don't have any live greenery indoors. Even our live tree has been replaced with a small artificial one this year as we expect to be on the road right after Christmas. A new neighbor donated this small one and we added multicolored lights and some of our smaller ornaments and we are enjoying it while we watch old holiday movies each night. We light lots of pine candles so it is almost (not quite) like having a live tree.
