A Little Woodsy Crafting

After Miggs and I went for our walk I went out to the back 40 and collected some pine tree branches and cedar branches to make my indoor woodsy decorations with my cinnamon scented pine cones Papa bought for me .

I am not much of a crafter but I think they all turned out ok and they smell yummy with the mix of cedar , pine and cinnamon .

I had fun making these , then taking photos of them after !

I wasn’t going to decorate for Christmas till  a week or two before but with wanting the simple woodsy country craft way I wanted  to do this year I decided to any ways .

I love my Santa tea set and the woodsy smell and look of this bowl full really brings in the out doors.

We had saved some birch tree logs from a year or two ago when we cut back our big birch tree . I am glad we did cause I was able to use one of them here to give this basket a real woodsy look !

I will post the other decorations tomorrow . I am glad I was able to keep it simple I didn't think I could with all the pretty decorations out there ! Papa said he will start scroll sawing and making decorations for next year  in his wood shop so I may have to up the tree size again lol !  I am happy with it all , it’s exactly what I wanted to achieve , simple , country craft  and woodsy !

The weather today is cloudy and the temps have reached 13ºC  or 55ºF   and  windy but it will drop again by weeks end  to cold with rain / snow flurries .

Until next time hope you all have a good day !

Very nice, I like the look too. I want to do somethin like that, but am not very creative in finding containers to put them in.
