First Grass Cutting of the Season

Yesterday was a nice sunny day chilly winds at times but still nice. Miggy and I went for an hour walk it was wonderful all the birds singing and chatting as it echoed through out the valley woods. We are still getting a light frost in the mornings but nothing that will damage any plants ! WOOHOO !  Papa cut the grass when he got home from work ! It’s a good sign when the first grass cutting is done . Our grass was thick and soo green . I love the smell of fresh cut grass but I find the first grass cut of the season smells the best !

Miggy always herds Papa when he first gets the tractor out of the shed and gets going !

The small steep little hill in front of the house is tricky !

Now it looks all nice and neat , I just have to go around today and do the trimming . Its a long weekend for Papa , today is the last day of his work week as it is Easter weekend ! The weather is to be nice sunny and warm so Papa and I will be outside doing yard work and planning where we want to plant things !

Until next time hope you all have a great day !

Our grass isn't ready to cut yet, maybe in about 3 weeks. Can't wait for the smell of the fresh cut grass. Have a wonderful Easter weekend.

It was windy here but we are a long ways from cutting grass! It always looks so nice when it is done tho doesn't it?

There is nothing like the smell of fresh cut grass...especially the first of the season! You really know it's spring when you can hear the hum or rumble of lawn mowers :)

HELLO!! We just got our tractor back and have started mowing too--I'm just like you, I love the smell and how neat everything looks--Miggy is certainly making sure it does, isn't she?

Enjoy your Thursday!

Our weeds are covered up by leaves right now so I don't have to mow just yet, heehee! We are surrounded by trees so we don't have a lot of grass but we do still have to mow. Which reminds me... I have to get the mower fixed before too long!

Have a great day and enjoy the long weekend.

Happy Easter to you guys!

Looks good, our grass is hardly green yet so it will be a few days before we need to mow it.

We have cut our grass here in Ontario last week. Isn't the smell the best?
It was windy here too, but sunny, so I am happy
Have a wonderful Easter ;-)

We have already had to mow THREE times! Perhaps it would go more quickly with a "supervisor" such as yours.:-)

Good to see green grass even if it's a picture! Mowing here is a long time away.

So glad to see Miggy is all better! The weather has been so crazy! It was snowing on Friday and we had the A/C on today! No wonder we are all getting sick!
