A Bit Late But :

The season is just moving along so fast . The kids are back to school which Miggs loves to see them when we are on our morning walks now as she insists on waiting at the bus stop with them  and gets cuddles from them all , when the bus comes she WOOFS to say goodby to them as they get on the bus, then we continue our walk and she is an extra happy girl  for the day lol .

The air has cooled and so has the winds and the fresh smell of fall is in the air as the land and all the nature changes hands from here to there  . All the butterfly's  are busy  and on the move  as are the Monarchs  all on their migration path that we are proudly on  as they stop off  in our gardens before they continue farther southwest of us to Point Pelee Waystaion in Point Pelee National Park Ontario which is a 2 hour drive from us and on the most south  tip of Ontario off of  our lake Erie .

Our Hummers are still about but as are our Robins but few and far between now  but the Oriels , Warblers , Swallows , Eastern King birds , Grackles, Red wing black birds  , Killdeer , Rose breasted Gross beaks, Wrens and a few others have all left on their migration, some left early last month  .   Our Finch are feasting at the feeders in droves , the Purple finch , Goldfinch , Pine Siskens  and the Morning Doves and Cardinals  are all occupying the feeding areas , the Woodpeckers have been to and fro , Blue Jays are up to their antics again as they have returned and squawking like crazy and the Crows are more active and noisier now to , all sounds I love though .

Leaves are slowly changing and falling to the ground .

Misty is just taking the weather and seasonal changes in stride as I am , she does enjoy the fresh cool air and snoozing in it out on her swung is a plus .

She is such a sweet old soul .

But in this photo below she wasn't to impressed about something .

What a long  face maybe she got disturbed  by a caterpillar  as there
has been lots of different types of caterpillars in  abundance this year.

I am a summer person that is for sure but I do enjoy the changes of what September brings .
Cooler nights, windows open , fresh sweet smelling air of fields and the harvest in full swing  , the sound of crickets and grasshoppers chirping all day and night as it echos through our yard and valley , the Canadian Geese taking flight every early morning and evening , there is so much to see and hear as the changing of each season whether I like the season or not so much but always promises beauty in all forms and that it delivers every time .

                                                              Until next time

I like September, and it hasn't begun with the usual heat wave this year. I like that too.
