This weekend was nice and the weather was lovely to , a little busy but not to busy lol ! First Friday after Papa got home from work he surprised me with 24 corns on the cob fresh from a work associates garden who is also a farmer YUMMY ! so I cleaned them up and packed them in freezer bags still in the husks as that's what farmers do with their corn and we did back on my farm days , it keeps the corn fresh longer and tastes like they were fresh picked every time .
The weekend mornings have been so pretty with the fog and the sun rising in the east and the moon setting in the west .
The Canadian Geese below are starting to take their fall flight path now as well every morning and late in the evenings and the Blue Jays have showed up again , seems like fall may be just around the corner .
The weather was nice and cool with no humidity all weekend and this morning we woke to temps of 12C or 54F nice and fresh and cool these kind of cool fresh mornings always reminds me of camping mornings when we used to go camping don't need to do that any more as we have all that and more right in our own yard in the valley lol .
I saw this bright green Luna Moth the largest moth in the moth family , Poor thing had ripped his wings .
This moth is found in North America from east of the Great Plains in the United States to northern Mexico and from Saskatchewan eastward through central Quebec to Nova Scotia in Canada. There have been sightings as far south as central Florida . Based on the climate in which they live, the Luna moths produce differing numbers of generations. In Canada and northern regions, they can live up to 7 days and will produce only one generation per year. These reach adulthood from early June to early July. In the northeastern United States around New Jersey or New York, the moths produce two generations each year. The first of these appear in April and May, and the second group can be seen approximately nine to eleven weeks later. In the southern United States, there can be as many as three generations. These are spaced every eight to ten weeks beginning in February. Interesting .
Yesterday Papa and I were redoing our driveway , we have a gravel drive way and got a friend of a friend to come over with his machine and skim and spread new gravel about and widen the driveway a bit and to help bury a down spout by the car port into the ground so water flows better and doesn't wash away our drive way still a bit of work in process on this but will be done by the end of the week !
And last but not least today is Papa and my Anniversary so I would like to wish Papa hubs and my best friend a
Happy Anniversary Papa
We got married in our Woods Country Coves back yard the same year we bought it with family and friends in country western style .

Corn on the cob, a favorite this time of year! How nice that you'll be able to enjoy it when the summer is behind us - Which according to the geese that we are also seeing up in the air, is coming quicker than we realize!
