Hi Elaine - Great photos. I have not noticed buds yet but lots of snow melting and the birds are very excited. Is it time now to put the bird houses out? How far from the feeders is best? Enquiring minds want to know. haha! "Hi Miggs"

Yes, it is starting to happen ... lots of melting yesterday. The grass on the paths throughout the garden is finally showing, mounds of bird seed appearing under the feeders, and perhaps now the grass is finally making an appearance in some places the robins will return.

Elaine, don't laugh, go and see the title of my post today...great minds my dear. LOL.

Spring stirs our souls, and gladdens our hearts. Those tiny signals that winter's grip is losing the fight...hooray.

The sparrow must be impatient for spring!

It's nice to see the snow melting down just from the heat of the sun alone as our temperatures haven't been that mild until the last 2 days. It got up to 10 here at noon but the wind has shifted and it's slowly going down again. No song birds here yet. I'm still watching for them though and all the other signs of spring. Enjoy!

Hi Elaine, Signs of spring are bursting forth here as well. Our days have been nice and warm-60's, but I know we are a long way off til spring. Wish it weren't so.
We have sparrows and doves and our snow is melting in most areas.
Hope you are having a fantastic week.
Hugs, Noreen

It's happening here too, Elaine, but ever so slowly because there is so much to melt down. We may get some rain this weekend and hopefully not snow, which should help and then there will be another concern - flooding.
