Visiting the sheep and posing for the camera man for an add in the paper for Stelco Steel !

0002

Off to school with my brother and sister as we wait for the bus !

0004

I was always riding a tractor of some kind lol !

And playing with our dogs as they were my best friends along with the other animals !

0007

My dad would build a skating rink every winter in the back 40 and my brother and I would go play hockey !

0009

I loved to help Mum in the kitchen to ! I hated dresses though but mum insisted I wear one  but in a few hours that dress always came off   lol  I still don't like dresses lol !

0026

We had a musical family as well and lots of pig roasts with friends and family in the summers with everyone in a sing song as entertainment  ! I  used to be in a band when I was a young adult as a singer  and like a good sing song  to belt it out once in awhile when on my own and am humming to myself all the time when I am busy !

0036

And hanging out with the wild life !

As the years went by on the farm and I became a teenager I got my own dog Toby and my own pony Clyde .

Clyde and Elaine

Then years after Mum & Dad decided to sell up and move from the farm to a small farming town so I spent the better part of my older teen years and adult hood in town .  The farming town became an ugly huge city  and  the rest is history and I am here now in our little neck of the woods  in a beautiful old farm house in a lovely valley and hopefully wiser turning yet another year older !  I Miss my Mum and Dad every day may they both R.I.P !

Yes, most definitely not getting older just getting better! Happy birthday to you. May you have many more wonderful years. What a great post! I love all these pictures you've shared. Each one tells a story. I was also a tomboy that hated dresses. Still do. Some things never change. Have a wonderful day ahead.

And your journaling along with the pictures.

Happy Birthday Country Girl.

Ya! Your cake looks like what we had for hubby's. It was good. We like plain cake but anything on top is welcomed.

Enjoy your day. Getting better gal not older. Ha-ha. It is how you want to say it. I tis your Birthday. Why not.

Belated birthday wishes, Elaine, and hope you celebrate not just for one day but the whole year through. After all, you are only 49 years old once! Enjoyed the trip down memory lane and seeing you throughout the years. And, there is nothing wrong with being outspoken as well.
