Mixed Feelings

Yesterday was Grandmas funeral , a lovely ceremony of both her life and her passing  , it was such an emotional day ,  she is now at peace with the angels  ! We got to see family members that we haven't seen for a long time and after the funeral we all went back to one of our cousins house , we  all  laughed , cried a bit more , mingled , met new members of the family and had a nice time of catching up , and remembering whens  with the family and of course good eats , just what Grandma would of wanted  lol !

I myself am feeling better  went to the Dr’s on Thursday and the ear  infection has gone thankfully but I think I have a tooth  that is a bit iffy on the same side  so I will get that sorted next week !  I will get back to normal soon .. well ok I have never been normal lol  that’s boring  lol ya all know what I mean lol !

Last night we had wicked storms  with torrential rain , high winds , the  lighting was amazing and a lot of it lighting up the sky's like it was day time  , some really good cracks of thunder and it all lasted a few hours , hydro was flicking on and off but it stayed with us , Miggs was not impressed at all she was in her safe place the entire time , it all scares her ! It is a rainy day here still but that’s ok cause after yesterdays long trip and emotional day we are just relaxing today !

I took photos  the other day of a batch of fungi growing under our hedge our Cedars ! I find fungi fascinating !

Can you believe how much they have changed  in just a few days ! Amazing !!

So there you have it a day or so of mixed feelings from sad to happy to amazed !

Thank you for all your kindness and words of Grandmas passing and for me  ! !

Until next time my friends !

Funerals are always hard for me, as I always cry like a baby because of the music and emotions of people around me. It kind of leaves me drained. But I definitely enjoy catching up with family and friends over those wonderful meals prepared by churches and friends. Glad you are feeling a bit better, but be sure to take care of that tooth. A mouth infection can be dangerous.

Hello dear Elaine.. So sad when we lose someone we love and a piece of our heart seems to be missing.. Praying that you will be comforted.. I heard that there was a terrible storm up your way from some friends.. Glad you are all ok.. I remember poor Sammie used to hate the thunder..
I hope you will be completely mended soon.. Thanks for you sweet comment, too.. xo

Funerals drain me too... and leave me numb.

We got some of that wild weather yesterday here.

I'm sorry for your loss, Elaine. Funerals bring family and friends together though to help with the healing. We are waiting on a sever thunderstorm watch here this afternoon but nothing's happened yet. :) I hope it's a false alarm! Take care and blessing to you and your husband. I hope you are feeling better too.

I am glad that it went as well as it could by the sounds of things and that you are on the mend too. I hope that you will be back to "normal" very soon. xx

I'm sorry for your loss. Her spirit will be with you when you need her most.

Your pictures, as always, are stunning.

Heal quickly.

Hi there, I'm so sorry for you loss-but it is heaven's gain. I hope your ear and tooth get better! We've had rain and clouds, such a dramatic change from our 90's a few weeks ago. I hope you have a restful weekend, sending you hugs.

Belated condolences to you and your family, Elaine, and sorry to learn of your recent loss. Your grandmother was obviously a much loved family member and would have appreciated everyone gathering to cherish and honor her memory.
