I was making supper at about 5:30 pm yesterday , looked out the window as I always do looking for photo ops lol and saw the moon . I grabbed my camera turned things on the stove down a bit and went out to get photos !
The sun was setting in the west and the moon rising in the east , the sun set created a pink hue with in the clouds surrounding the moon over our valley!
As Papa was driving to work earlier this morning he said the moon was huge and orange and just above the horizon I couldn't see it as I was lower then he was at the time and he was on a open road with flat fields around him , DARN IT ! That would of been awesome to capture and Papa didn’t have a camera in the van . BOOHOO !
The sun is setting later and later every day and rising earlier as well and the temps are warming up more and more .

The same moon has been showing its face here and shining brightly. Night has been almost day.
It's a full moon tonight..if there's not too much cloud cover you may get some great shots!

great moon shots - i left my big camera in louisiana so can't get some of those shots w/my little one. just missed the sunset last night. sky was so pretty in pinks, lavendar and blues. have a great week.

Beautiful moon! I was hoping to see it last night but it was just too cloudy.
Elaine, maybe Papa needs a small digital point & shoot that he can keep n the van for moments like he described. I have a couple of the Canon digital Elph cameras and one is permanently kept in my purse. Of course, if I leave home without carrying it, then I also leave the camera at home.
