Fresh Cut Lilac With A Bit Of This & That

I just love Lilac’s , the look and smell of them . We have quite a few Lilac bushes and some are in full bloom and others are almost there. We have white and deep  burgundy/purple as well , they are the slower ones but I cant wait for them to bloom.  I went out to take some clippings from one and bring them in .

The smell just fills the kitchen .

It has been raining since yesterday afternoon on and off , I cut and brought these in yesterday morning before the rain started . I love the smell of the Lilac’s , grass and other flowered trees and bushes during and after the rain so fresh and sweet smelling.

It has been quiet at the Cove now the kids have gone back , Miggy and I are just puttering around enjoying the day !

The Hummers are back and feeding like crazy .They arrived last Friday just after I put the feeders out I had a funny feeling the humid weather would bring them back with in the week. I make my own hummer food with sugar and water and they just love it.

Miggy has some inflammation in her knee and is now on meds for it .

Back in Feb I did posts of her reconstruction knee surgery on her right knee and her long recovery, now its her left knee that is a bit wonky  , we have always known that her left knee will have to eventually be operated on but it wont  be any were near as bad as the right knee as she tore it so badly due to the way her knee  had developed . She is in no pain but has to restrain from dashing around like a mad dog for 2 weeks and rest the knee so the inflammatory meds take affect ! We can still go for our walks and wonder the yard just no hard running  which is a chore to get her to SLOW DOWN !!!!!!   But she is doing good , still the happy go lucky sunshine Papa and I love !

Until next time Hope you all have a good day !

Hope she mends well enough not to have surgery. Poor Miggy, can she not play ball for two weeks??? You will have to hide the sticks.

Awwww, do hope Miggy feels better soon but as long as she's happy. She and I have the same problem I think. I'm afraid to go get my knees and hips checked out, but I know the day is coming :( Beautiful lilacs and always love photos of that precious dog of yours.

I like lilacs too! Purple is my favorite color. I see the lilacs finally starting to bloom this week.

I really like the first picture. It’s so peaceful and homey.

Miggy looks like pretty good company.

Thank You for stopping in at my blog. Hope to see you again.
