We have the part for our furnace in and she's a working like a charm . Poor old clunker I thought she had given up the ghost , guess she still has some heating power left in her after all ! That's good !
The sun is just rising. its crisp and cold out and the birds are at the feeders stocking up for the day ! Its been days since we have seen the sun.
I haven’t seen very many of the seasons birds yet where this time last year they were here in droves . I guess with the weird weather we have been having it has confused them as to migrate here or not ! The beautiful Tundra Swans have finished their route of flight over us and now are moving up farther north. Here they are a protected bird .
Since it is to be a nice sunny day I think I will go out later and take photos !
Papa would like to thank you all for you lovely comments of his wood works and for peeking in at his blog !
Until next time . Have a great day !

I'm so glad ya'll have heat again! Don't want that Miggy and Harley to freeze, or you and papa either!
Hello little guy!... I just love Downy Woodpeckers... thanks for sharing... xoxo Julie Marie
I'm just getting caught up--Glad your furnace is fixed!! It's really cold outside here today, but reading Monday's post about the birthday celebration certainly would warm up anyone's heart!! I am also admiring the wood work projects--How lovely!! I'll hop over and check out the other blog!!
Hurray is right for the old clunker! I'm glad you guys have heat now.
We finally have a cool day here. It's nice and sunny though so it's a beautiful day!
Warm is good at this time of the year - at least around here it is! I'm glad to hear you have your heat back. :)
Glad you're warm again. Love papa's work. Will check out his blog, thanks for the tip!
I'm so happy for you having heat again. It's getting so cold. I love the bird at the feeder. I'm not to up on my bird types. I've never seen one of these and it's beautiful.
So glad you have your heat. Not a good time to be without it, learned that from our own experiences over the years.
This is such a pretty bird. We get a lot of his cousins visiting our back yard during the wintertime. I haven't taken a lot of photos since I got back from visiting hubby's family in Virginia Beach but I think the weather is going to be good here also over the next couple of days.
Papa is a true artist with his woodwork. My Dad was a carpenter hobbyist and he loved working with the wood. I used to help him when I was a child. I think that's where I get my love of wood and pottered with smaller things right up until the late 80s. I used to cut out and sand Christmas shapes from Baltic Birch and sell them at craft shows, after painting them for hours on end. Eventually my fingers gave out but I had a great time up to then.
Wishing you and Papa a great weekend.
Elaine, when I read about the furnace I thought of the father in "A Christmas Story" alsways fighting with his furnace. Glad yours is working again and keeping you all warm.
