Sunshine & The Thought Of Spring On Its Way Makes Me Smile

 Yup through the many grey days of winter this time of year the odd pop of sunshine and sunny days makes me smile .

Even when some of the trees and land are looking dull sunshine on them makes it all better .

 

 

My feeders have been very busy and I have been enjoying the birds as they have been enjoying the sunshine , Papa made this log suet feeder a few weeks ago and they just love it .

 

                           Such a pop of colour amongst some snow with sun shining .

                                       Even our puppers Summer loves the sunshine .

 

  The days are getting longer which I do like and now I feel I am over the winter hump or blahs now as I am now on my countdown till spring which officially arrives March 20th at 5:37am  and I am soo looking forward to the return of our Robins and spring birds to and  yes you guessed it more sunshiny days ,  oh spring is only 58 days away 😊 and counting lol.

Our Puppers Summer With This &That

Myself , Papa and Summer (AKA) Summy are taking each day as it comes as I think many of us are nowadays . 

We have been keeping ourselves busy the best we can and one way for us to do that is to get outside and enjoy our yard and pretty valley  , going for lots of walks and  I taking lots of photos .We have even had the odd day where we can sit out on our screened porch as our weather has been fluctuating from mild to chilly to sunny and so forth . It has been a very odd winter with even less snow then last year .

We have been having fun playing  and training our Summy who is almost fully trained a few tweaks here and there and will be turning 8 months old this Wednesday .

Our friends and neighbors dog Tucker comes over everyday and plays with Summy and they have a blast .

Summy sits and waits at the gate for him at the same time every day and sure enough at 3:30 every afternoon he shows up with his daddy . 

After her busy day with us and playing hard with  her best friend Tucker, Summy is ready for a long nap  after her supper for the evening , she is a goofy girl and loves to sleep upside down with her toy in her mouth  lol !

 The past few days the sun set has been so colourful and pretty in the distance as each day comes  to an end Papa , myself and Summy hunker down for the night and are all tired and full of fresh air   .

This & That

 Hello and Happy New Year to all .

We here at Woods Country Cove are happy of the new year and new beginnings for our family . Our Son and daughter in law are expecting their first child and our first grand child and our daughter is getting married to her wonderful dairy farmer this up coming  August so the year is starting off good for us .

As for our weather, well its up and down from week to week,  we get snow then it melts with a warm spell then we get rain and so on and so forth . 

Yesterday we woke to a pretty winter wonderland in the valley  , I had to go for a walk with my camera and take photos as it was mild and still snowing a little  and soo pretty . 

Now we are back to some mud and melt and up and down but that's ok I don't mind the weather being mixed up from week to week makes it more bearable and interesting this time of year as the winter seasons can be very dull and mundane   and I am always happy to see the sunshine .

Our puppers Summer is growing like a weed and doing very well with her training each and every day and we have so much fun playing outside especially in the snow as her Husky just shines in the snow lol and we love going for our long walks daily weather permitted .

 This snow is now all gone but we still love playing outside and are looking forward now to spring I know maybe pushing it a bit to early lol but I do look forward to it every year .

Well that's about it for me for now  , hope all are well and looking forward to a new and hopefully better year.
