Mild , Gloomy , Quiet Weekend & Windows Live Writer Down

It was a mild and gloomy weekend . Papa and I did some shopping on Saturday picked up a little turkey for our Christmas dinner the big  ham Papa gets from his work and then we just puttered about all weekend .
I am finding I am in a blogging slump  as there really isn't much going on here and seems not much to photograph either  , the birdies have been quiet and not at the feeders as much again  as this mild spell has kept the bugs  about  still . I cant stand being in a photo or blog slump drives me nuts lol !  Also Windows Live Writer that I use to post  through to my blog is down as they are launching a new Open Source Live Writer to the  blogging world and blogger hasn't jumped on board yet even though they said they would .  Here is a link for those who like me use the Windows Live Writer to do your posts by that tells all that is going on with Liver Writer just incase you didn't know ! xhttp://www.hanselman.com/blog/AnnouncingOpenLiveWriterAnOpenSourceForkOfWindowsLiveWriter.aspx

Windows Live Writer  is a blog publishing application developed by Microsoft and is much better then the bloggers template for posting . They are going to open source live writer and improve it Open Source means
denoting software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified. It will be known as OLW Open Live Writer .
OLW will run side-by-side with your existing Windows Live Writer installation. Open Live Writer installs VERY quickly and updates itself automatically. Live Writer is used world wide  by professional and hobbyist bloggers like my self  .
I so prefer using Live writer to the blogs posting template , live writer has more stuff to it and can make ones posts look so much better and it also has water marking for your photos which I prefer  as well  .
I see the sun trying it's best to shine through the clouds this morning  hope it does , our week ahead  it looks good though seems like more sun is to be shining and the temps still mild . Why I just peeked out the window and looked at our out door thermometer and I could t believe how warm it said it was  13C or 55F  WOW!!

I am glad to see the sun is actually shining  makes it so much better when the sun shines , don't you think ?
Any who We are off for a nice walk Miggs and I  as the temps are warm and the sun is shining
WOOHOO !. Oh look blue sky's to  YEAH !!

I  Hope I can get out of this blogging , photographing slump and window live writer get fixed or I will have to  take the plunge and switch to Open Source Live Writer  or OLW as they  call it for short  and hope blogger gets on board with it all soon to  and get back to it  !

                                                             Until next time

It's been much the same here Elaine - mild and our snow is all gone - so not much picture taking going on. We're expecting a major storm tonight and tomorrow with snow, ice pellets and freezing rain. They just aren't too sure who will get what and how much at this point. I hope our power stays on. Have a good week. Pam

I have never heard of this Live Writer before. Our temperatures are more like spring right now. Lovely photos, love Miggs' expressive face.

I don't use it, but another blogger I follow does, and has had issues as well.

Your dog is so cute, you can always post dog photos if in a blog slump. Or anything Christmas-y in December. Hope your blogging woes get sorted out, I had not heard of Live Write.

I've always just written my posts directly, so have not used the Live Writer. I'll have to take a look.

It's been mild and gloomy here too. I've always just used blogger, but now i've heard so much about this live Writer thing i may need to try it. Meanwhile, it is a challenge to get the photography and blog ideas at this time of year.

It's that blah time of year for photographers, especially with the lack of snow this year. In fact, it is raining here right now. Actually, you've done pretty well with photos so far -- your frosts photos come to mind.

We are having warm weather for this time of year in N. Fl. Highs in the 80's and sunny, I would prefer more gloomy weather.Hopefully we will get cooler before Christmas !

Hi Elaine, I often find that I don't have a lot to write about, so I understand how you are feeling. We are staying inside today with all the snow.
Stay warm my friend.
Hugs,
Noreen

Hello Elaine, I couldn't help but smile at your comment on my blog, I feel that we share a kinship of English Christmas Day traditions :)
All those quirky things we do every Christmas even in today's modern times, and if your mum was English then we are both familiar with holding on to the memories.
I usually write my posts without Live Writer, but it sounds like a useful platform.
Love that Miggs :)

I've been missing from blogging and visiting blogs as our internet services has been .... dreadful, disgusting, slow, non existant and other words that I won't or can't write in a comment. I'm getting a bit of a break today, and they are coming tomorrow to hopefully sort it out. We don't have any options to switch providers, only have satellite service.
The days have been dull and dreary, not a lot of photo opportunities.
Hope the new way of doing your posts is sorted out. I don't use Windows for anything, got so fed uo with umpteen updates daily, I'm a Mac user, who could use Blogger if I choose to, but I also gave up that platform
Hopefully I'll be abe to check in again, but if not warmest wishes for the holiday season to you, Papa, Miggs and Harley.
