You Just Never Know !

What you will find in our yard .

Yesterday afternoon I sat out on the porch for a bit after I did the house cleaning and was enjoying a nice cool drink of  orange juice and watching the birdies at the feeders . Miggs was watching critters as always lol

The temps were humid  and clouds kept threatening rain . The birdies were all frantically chirping and in a feeding frenzy as they often do  get  in if there is a threat of a storm . I was enjoying them all chirping , chatting and flapping about on the feeders and all of a sudden I heard a sound that didn’t sound like them at all  . It was a familiar sound a sound I haven’t heard in years but used to have that sound in my house way back . So  I grabbed my camera and listened . There it was again a chitchat that I could not see where it was coming from . I thought to my self that's the sound of a Budgie have I  finally  gone nuts ? or does one of the sparrows thinks this is funny  lol . Well I finally spotted this familiar sound and I was thinking straight and right… not nuts yet lol .

                                                                  It was a Budgie

Summer 2013 (1 of 2)-2

I guess he did the great escape from his home and is now free as a bird ha ha.. hanging around with the sparrows chatting like crazy !. I have no idea how long he has been out there or  how far he has come. It was nice to hear an old familiar sound though just strange to hear it in the trees lol .

Summer 2013 (2 of 2)-2

He seemed to like our yard and the trees and flew from one tree to the other . Papa tried to see if he would come to him but I guess he was enjoying his freedom as he refused all though he was tempted a few times .

Summer 2013 (21 of 22)

So now we have a Budgie that hangs out at our Country Cove with all the other birdies . I think I will call him Buddy .

You just never know what you will find in Our Country Cove yard .

It is really hot and humid here this morning  , the storms were in the wee hours and it is just awful our there … muggy,  sticky and hazy as the sun is now just rising  . The temps have been up and down for over a week one minuet  it is nice and cool the next humid again .

Until next time .. have a good day !

Hi Elaine... Well that's different, you just never know!! Go thing you spotted him, a least you know you haven't gone nuts!!
I wonder what he will do as the weather gets colder, and could he be able to withstand it ?
He sure is a lovely color, can't miss him!!!

Oh the poor budgie! I bet someone is frantically missing him. He sure is beautiful and I hope he survives in the wild. Great pictures!

What an interesting find. I wonder if you put a bird cage on a table out side if he will go in to it?

Buddy looks beautiful among the green leaves! But I worry about him in the winter time. I hope you can coax him to come inside before then!

He is adorable! But I do hope someone catches him before the cold weather arrives. These little bird are much too fragile for our winters.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. The budgie sure stands out against the greenery, I hope he is able to survive without a human putting birdseed out in a dish for him.

I wonder if anyone around you is missing a budgie, or perhaps it has flown in from a fair distance. Hope it is able to be rescued before the cold weather sets in.

Awful humidity here today, hope this is the last day for it.
