Waiting For The Cool Fall

It is so humid and sticky here you can see the air has a haze to it and it just hangs there like a sheet . We usually do get what we call an Indian summer this time of year where the temps cool for a bit then climb again .

Miggs and I pop out every now and then cause we love the out doors but it is just to hot to stay out to long so then we pop back in for a bit for a cool off and out we go again lol . Some trees are starting to change now , you can see a bit of colour ever so slightly mixed in with green of the other trees that haven’t changed yet !

This time last year there were hundreds of different butterfly’s all over the wild flowers in the fields and I was out there snapping photos of them like crazy  .. this year none at all ! Pretty scary to not see any at all makes one wonder what’s going on with mother nature and why ?

The bees are enjoying the wild flowers swarming all about them  .

More Blue Jays have arrived and each morning they squawk and fly around from tree to tree ! The Chickadees are slowly arriving now to !

The little Budgie that showed up in our yard a few days ago is still hanging out with the Sparrows and seems to be doing well happily chirping and flying around ! Keeping an eye out for the Nuthatches , Juncos and Downy woodpeckers to return next .

The sunsets and sun rises have been wonderful over the past week  . Just waiting for cool fall air now !

Wonderful pictures! It is very hot and humid here, too. I've been working in the garden in the mornings, and even that early, it's so warm. I look forward to the cooler weather. I hope it's comes soon.

I have heard other Ontario bloggers say there aren't as many butterflies there this summer. I guess I could say the same for here too. I've seen the white and pale yellow cabbage ones but that's it. It's really humid here this afternoon at 29C. There's a thunderstorm watch on for this evening and through the night and tomorrow. Strange weather for September. I don't remember a summer when we had so many thunderstorms. Do you?

I would love to get some hot and humid weather again! Autumn seems to be moving in rather quickly this year although, to my delight, the gold finches are still here. I've seen several butterflies today too. Beautiful images; especially the sunset. Thanks so much for coming to my HOME and sharing with us. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Blessings,
Sandi
