Busy With Gardens

The weather has been beautiful sunny & warm with temps hitting a high of  21ºC or 69ºF  .

Papa took Friday off as a vacation day and we both were busy with gardens Fri and Sat . First we had a trailer full of triple mix topsoil we picked up from one of our garden centers  to top up our gardens and build up our front garden as it needed it badly and we dug out lots of old plants that were there as well to make room for new ones .  We have  6 flower gardens .

2 yards of top soil in that bigger trailer we had to hand shovel in the smaller trailer and toot around the yard filling the gardens   this was an all day job on Fri .

The front garden we filled and Papa built the platform there with the lattice. Today he will tremclad it grey .

The older we get the longer it takes to do things like this lol

He will also build the same on this side to cover up the concrete slab and make it look nicer !

Then yesterday we got a trailer full of Cedar chip mulch and did some of our other gardens with that , Oh boy two days of shovelling , luging digging  WOW ! We both have found muscles that we didn’t know we had lol .  Today Papa is putting the cutting deck on the tractor to hopefully get the grass cut as it is to rain later and the grass is thick and long in spots ! I am doing laundry today .  The gardens are all ready for our trip to my favourite garden centre to come home with a truck full  colour lol !

Busy , busy times spent doing one of my favourite things !

                                                                   Gardening !

Until next time  , Thanks for popping by !

It's a lot of work, but so satisfying when you are done.

I feel like I am moving rather slow lately too...things take much longer than I remember them to take...or would like them to take...lol
patience is not my virtue!
things look very good where you are!

PS Lost most of the blogs I was following when I tried to switch to bloglovin, which I don't like... now I have heard "followers" is NOT going away... so I am signing on to all my favorites once more, like yours!... wish blogger would leave well enough alone!

You sure have been giving those muscles a workout with all that soil. We need a load as well. The weather has been gorgeous today, enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the birds.
