A RAINY MONDAY

Today it is raining with the odd thunder here and there lurking around but at least its warm out. We will be getting a lot of rain in the next few weeks. April showers bring May flowers. The Robins are just loving it, chatting away and bobbing around all soaked to the bone .

So this morning I took to reading my Country Garden  mag and having my tea . It is quiet except for Harley purring loud in my ear as she sits on the back of the couch behind me as I read.

When I finish this mag I think I am going to read my book next. It is just one of those days., I might even just stay in my PJ’S.  I miss our Miggy though. Harley has been taking over and keeping me company whilst her sister is at the vets getting better.

 

I bought a new kettle yesterday. A whistle kettle . I had the electric one for years. I have always wanted a whistle kettle but just couldn't find the right size or style and all in the color I wanted, so I found all most  all of the above only in red, I thought, well what the heck its red I have all colors in my kitchen why not, and ya know I think it looks ok.

                              I will be calling the vets today to see how our Miggy is doing.

SUNDAY ANTIQUING FINDS & PHOTOS

Papa and I went to the antique shop to have a good nose around as we haven't been there since fall of last year. It is a huge place, there is a small shop front that you go through and in the back  is a huge ware house full of goodies , it is my favourite antique shop around here and there are a lot. Antique venders  rent a space and display all their finds for sale and change their stuff  quite often so you are guaranteed to find something and we always do!  The weather was nice today a bit overcast but warm so Papa and I were outside after we had finished our Antiquing .

                                                I fell in love with it.

  I have always loved the look of these in the gardens and had been searching for one for years, the real cast iron ones not the remakes and here it is. Papa is going to take the green paint off and paint it black.

 

Papa found this old tool box and some old hand tools. He loves these and will be using them when he gets his wood shop built on Fri.

As I was taking photos Papa was putting chicken wire around our gardens to keep the pesky bunny's out so they wont eat the tops of our flowers coming up.

I have a nice pot roast in the slow cooker for supper and we are just going to putter today. We would like to thank all of you for your wonderful  support and kind words of my last post about having to leave Miggy at the vets, we do miss her.
