A Mix Of This & That

Hello .

The past week has been an eventful one especially with the weather . We had snow storm after snow storm for a few days and very cold temps with high winds , the most snow we have had in years more in the past week then we had all last winter and the winter before  lol !

So I took advantage of the snow storms and took photos playing about with my camera , I like the challenge of the lighting for photos during a snow storm as the lighting can change so fast depending on the snow falling the speed of it and thickness and how much  cloud coverage  . I like capturing falling snow  as it tells the story of the winter  storm in the  photo  .

The birds were busy feasting like mad in the snow storm , so many of them I had a hard time capturing them as they flew from feeder to feeder and to and from the cedar hedge in the back .

I did how ever get a chance through my windows to capture some birds taking it easy and enjoying the seed  and suet whilst it was snowing  lol !

I think these two Juncos above were having and important conversation about who was going to take some suet lol !

Some Juncos like this little guy love to eat their seed on our patio under the protection of the porch .

The snow fell for a few days on and off fast and furious .

Then the next day it stopped and the sun came out  , all though cold it was a chance for Papa to get out and do some clearing .

He did the driveway and paths about the yard for poor old Miggs all though she prefers to sit her dumpy in the deep snow crazy dog .

Miggs loves the snow and loves to be out with Papa when he is using the snow blower .

That shaggy coat gets full of snow balls and she is very hot in it inside and outside as it is soo thick so she went to the groomers over the weekend and got pampered , she prefers the shorter fur , she looks like her daddy all shaggy a Collie and her Mama a Hound  all shaved now  .

The weather has warmed up today above freezing and the snow is beginning to melt , it is raining here today and with the snow melting and rain falling it is foggy and very damp but we may get freezing rain later as the temps is to drop again  . Looks like we may not have a white Christmas after all again this year .  Speaking of Christmas we are all ready , decorating done,  shopping done and Papa is getting a nice big ham from work later in the week and as of Friday Papa gets two weeks off of work WOOHOO ! Then the fun begins of celebrating Christmas , good food and best of all family get togethers  !!!!!

Miggs and Harley have their own stockings hung on the fireplace and are both waiting for Santa Paws   Miggs more then Harley as Miggs checks it every morning till Christmas day  lol !

So as you see we are just plodding along with a Mix of  This & That going on .

                                                            Until next time .
