Summer's isn't over yet, so I'm going to keep on enjoying it ... hopefully without the awful humidity. I gave up thinking about back to school when I retired :)
You're right; always looked forward to welcoming the students back. For 35 years i took students off on a week long field course starting the tuesday after Labour Day. Highlight of my career and the best memories!
We have a lot of similar things here - asters, Queen Anne's Lace, goldenrod, but no leaves turning yet. Thankfully cool and less humid today, felt like fall.
I am excited about fall ! It was a very hot, humid and rainy summer here and I am ready for some cooler weather and call the beauty of fall!
