Papa and I were sitting watching TV last evening and I saw this little baby bird sitting on the wire peeping for food . The mama showed up and was feeding him , much to my surprise it was an Eastern Blue bird . We have quite a few of them around here but this is the first time we have ever seen a baby one . They usually stay in the woods till they have fully grown not this little guy .

He looks so tiny on this huge wire . His tail feathers are blue as he turned his back to us for just a moment then I think he realized Papa was taking his photo and stayed facing him for the longest time.
We have so many baby birds here now and the numbers are just adding up in our yard of birds that frequent our feeders .

ReplyDeleteI wish my kids would have been that patient waiting for food, when they were babies. We get bluebirds for about 4-5 day span in the spring. They must be passing through. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable cute little fuzzy thing! We just sat and watched a bird make a nest the other morning. I love birds! I love that they really live in the moment and don't seem to have any worries at all. They just know they are provided for.
