Welcoming August

With open arms lol  WOW! August already ?  my how time fly's when your busy with gardens and enjoying all  that’s around you  ! Papa has been off since Fri and it has been a lovely weekend so far, we here still have one more day off as it is our civic holiday tomorrow … well I am off all the time as I am retired hehe . Papa and I have just been puttering and enjoying our yard and all that’s in it . We have been relaxing by the chiminea enjoying the crackling of the wood burning and the smell … oh the smell  is wonderful , the past day or so has been cool so windows open and the smell has wafted through the house , wonderful , I still wish I could bottle the smell of wood smoke lol .

AUGUST 2014 (7 of 42)

Any who , we had a  pop up storm whilst we were sitting out enjoying our chiminea and boy did it ever come down but the rain just sizzled off of the chiminea as it kept going  but we were dry sitting on our patio under the porch at our table .

The rain storm didn’t last long but long enough for me to take photos of it , oh and Papa had to suit up and rescue the clogged gutter pipe  as we were getting Niagara falls  flowing  from it !

Today is hot and humid we did a bit of gardening at the front of the house this morning  in the sun and then it got to humid , we had a bit of thunder rolling around to  . Now we are in enjoying the cool and watching movies .  August is our hottest month  here but also the month where our gardens are in full bloom , we got married this month in our back yard to and Harley and Miggs Birthdays are this month as well . So welcome August .

Until next time my friends !

Having a great husband to fix things are wonderful.
We got married 36 years ago today, and my birthday is the 6th. So Happy Anniversary and Birthdays to you.

It does sound like you are having a very lovely weekend. Puttering around your home and garden is sometimes the best way to spend time. These photos are beautiful. Happy August to you!

With that outfit, he should be herding in the Outback where it doesn't rain much. Your garden looks super.

I've got an oilskin coat like that. They do come in quite handy.

Happy Anniversary and Birthdays all round :). Great photos! Sitting on a covered patio watching the rain is idyllic. Looks like Miggy was ready to help Papa unclog the water spout. Have a great week :)
