Hopefully This Works

The long weekend we had was wonderful . The weather was great and Papa and I had fun planting all of our flowers and yesterday we sat on the porch and enjoyed a relaxing day and admired  all the hard work we did .

It is very humid and hazy here today AC is on already and a possibility of thunderstorms later this after noon into the night . Mother natures rains are the best for the gardens always beats out water from the hose .

Some of my Gerbera daisies are acting different this year . I try to stick to flowers and plants that I know do well in our gardens with the acception  of one or two new ones  . I have had the same breed of Gerbera’s in the same spot every year and this is the first year they have drooped due to the amount of sun they are getting so I asked Papa if he had any lattice left to make a bit of shade for them for the harsh afternoon sun just to help them . Well he said leave it up to me so I did and this is what he came up with .

Spring 2013 (1 of 4)

My Papa has some good ideas !

Spring 2013 (2 of 4)

Papa cut one long piece of lattice into 4 and attached 2 each  to a stake and there you have it lattice shaders !     I like them , they help give the garden just that bit of a boost in looks to !

So I am crossing my fingers in hopes they work for the Gerbera's cause I want them to do well and I love the look of their lattice shaders  !

Our hearts and Prayers go out to all those in Oklahoma !

I think Gerber's are hard to keep alive. Good luck. Papa is so clever, I hope his idea works. Enjoy these beautiful spring days!

Nice idea. My Gerbera are in pots this year and seem to be doing well. Good choice in flowers I think. Have a nice afternoon!

I am really impressed with your writing skills and also with
the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself?
Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it's rare to see a great blog like this one nowadays.

I think they should perk up later when the root system gets going. They usually like a lot of water.

That is one smart Papa. Great idea, and it adds a bit of height to the garden as well as giving a bit of shade.
